Path to Portland: PBA Elite League Team Season Recaps
Six teams qualified for the PBA Elite League presented by Snickers Playoffs, while two were sent home after the regular season.
The action gets underway with Sunday's quarterfinals, airing at 5 p.m. Eastern on FS1. View the full playoff schedule here.
Check out a recap of each team's season below as part of the Path to Portland series.
No. 1 Las Vegas High Rollers
In the first season of the new-look PBA Elite League, Las Vegas heads into the playoffs as the team to beat.
With a 10-4 record, the High Rollers earned the No. 1 seed and a one-round bye in the playoffs. They clinched a fourth consecutive top-four finish, which includes all four seasons in franchise history.
No. 2 Portland Lumberjacks
This season, Portland demonstrated why they have bowled in each of the last four Elias Cup championships.
The 9-5 Lumberjacks earned the No. 2 seed and a one-round bye in the playoffs, taking the tiebreaker over the Akron Atom Splitters by virtue of their 2-0 head-to-head record.
No. 3 Akron Atom Splitters
Perhaps the steadiest team in the league, Akron neither won or lost more than two consecutive matches all season, finishing with a 9-5 record.
Mark Baker's squad hopes to win the franchise’s fourth Elias Cup crown and first since 2018.
No. 4 Motown Muscle
The aptly-named Muscle strut into the playoffs as hot as any team in the game. Motown closed the season on a 7-2 heater, earning the No. 4 seed for the postseason.
No. 5 New Jersey KingPins
The KingPins, once in the running for the league's best record, enter the postseason as the No. 5 seed.
New Jersey aims to win their first Elias Cup since the inaugural event in 2013.
No. 6 Lucky Strike L.A. X
The final team to qualify for Portland, L.A. snuck into the postseason with a 5-9 record after staving off the feeble late-season crawls by Dallas and Waco.
No. 7 Go Bowling Dallas Strikers
Dallas coulda-shoulda-woulda been among the top teams this season.
Untimely mistakes, bad luck and unsustained effort are the reasons the Strikers will find themselves watching the festivities in Portland from their couch.
No. 8 Waco Wonders
While the Wonders' improbable postseason run in 2023 netted the franchise’s first Elias Cup victory, Waco mounted a disappointing title defense this season.
Waco finished a league-worst 3-11 and two games outside of the playoffs.
