The Professional Bowlers Association has an opening in our accounting department for an Accountant. The right candidate should be detail-oriented, accurate, hard-working, conscientious, positive and enthusiastic. The candidate should have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task between databases, emails, invoice images and research.

Responsibilities include:

  • General Ledger – balance sheet reconciliations and assistance with month-end close
  • Accounts Receivable - invoice tracking, billing, collections and payment processing
  • Accounts Payable – invoice entry, expense report processing, maintain great vendor relationships by responding quickly and accurately to both internal (company) and external (vendor directly) questions and requests for information.
  • Ensure accurate classifications of postings; processing and correcting journal entries
  • Maintain the company’s accounting system (Great Plains Dynamics & Excel workbooks)
  • Bank and Credit Card reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance state and local taxes.
  • 1099 annual reporting
  • Other duties - as assigned including contract review and administration, revenue calculations, support for off-site staff, audit support, etc.

Required Experience:

1 year experience in Accounting, preferably with:

  1. Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close process
  2. Intermediate Excel skills
  3. Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Word is required
  4. Great Plains experience required
  5. Knowledge of GAAP rules
  6. Sports or Entertainment experience required

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting

The Professional Bowlers Association (www.pba.com) is seeking a motivated, full-time junior network administrator to work with the PBA’s National Traveling Tour during the 2009/10 Season. A qualified candidate can perform the following duties working closely with the IT team and tour staff:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Setup, teardown, and ensure connectivity and operations of computer systems, display systems, and network topology for the tour.
  • Maintain and support computers and IT systems for the tour and tour staff.
  • Train and assist volunteers with running scorekeeping software.
  • Support uptime Internet connectivity of Tournament Software.
  • Be secondary fallback for PBA System Administrator on Helpdesk calls.
  • Commitment to meeting onsite timely deadlines for the PBA 2009/10 tour dates.

Requirements:

  • Experience with installing and troubleshooting networking hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, access points, range extenders, print servers).
  • Experience with WiFi (802.11x) configuration and WiFi security standards.
  • Experience with supporting computer systems running Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, and Microsoft Windows Server.
  • Excellent written, verbal and customer service skills.
  • BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university, or comparable experience.

This position reports directly to the Director of Information Technology.
