This week, Randy Pedersen takes a look back at the 2007 Etonic Championship in Cheektowaga, N.Y. where he chowed down on buffalo wings and beef on weck before watching Mike Wolfe win his third career Denny's PBA Tour title.

Facing two of the game’s legends, Mike Wolfe and Shannon Pluhowsky showed the poise that has made them two of the top young stars in bowling. The 31-year-old Wolfe and the 25-year-old Pluhowsky each took down Hall of Famers to win their respective titles in the 2007 Etonic Championship.

Denny’s PBA Tour exempt bowlers Joe Ciccone, Jack Jurek and Mika Koivuniemi spent Friday evening at the Buffalo Sabres game at HSBC Arena in downtown Buffalo watching the Buffalo Sabres take on the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Todd Book and Joy Esterson earned the top seeds in their respective tournaments at AMF Thruway Lanes as the 2007 Etonic Championship heads into match play on Friday.

Walter Ray Williams Jr. and Pete Weber will square off in match play for the third consecutive week. Weber will try to break a long losing streak against his long-time rival tonight at 7 p.m. in the 2007 Etonic Championship Round of 8.

Walter Ray Williams Jr. says he’s bowling as well as he ever has, which is a scary thought for the rest of the Denny’s PBA Tour. Williams defeated Pete Weber for the third consecutive week and advanced to his third consecutive championship round in the Etonic Championship.

Five members of the Buffalo Bills - Lee Evans Mario Haggan, Gibran Hamdan, Justin Jenkins and Rian Lindell – will join exempt bowlers from the Denny’s PBA Tour Wednesday night at AMF Thruway Lanes in Cheektowaga, N.Y., for the Etonic Championship Pro-Am at 7 p.m. EST.

While it’s only been two weeks, Rhino Page looks to be on a mission to earn an exemption for the 2008-09 Denny’s Professional Bowlers Association PBA Tour season as the high non-exempt bowler.
