Jowdy has been an integral part of the pro scene for more than 30 years as an instructor to many PBA champions, a bowling ball manufacturer's sales representative and a bowling writer. Easily identifiable at PBA Tour sites, he has attended more PBA tournaments than all but a few players and PBA staff members. A sales representative, later public relations director and presently PBA Tour consultant for Columbia 300 Industries, the San Antonio native privately has coached hundreds of pros. Jowdy has provided coverage of the Tour to many of the nation's leading bowling publications, lending a unique perspective aided by his close involvement with the bowlers.
