Seven-time PBA champion, including the 1960 National Championship. He won the USBC Masters and five World Invitational events. Also won the BPAA All-Star four times. He served as PBA President for four years and was a member of the PBA's Executive Board for 16 years. He was the PBA's member of the Year in 1960. While he had many PBA accomplishments he rose to national attention in bowling's golden era of team competition most notably as a member of the famed Budweiser team which once held the team series record of 3,858. PBA Charter Member won 1961 USBC Masters and was five-time World Invitational winner. The six-time Bowler of the Year was voted Greatest Bowler of All-Time in 1970, the same year he was inducted into the USBC Hall of Fame. Was voted 11th greatest bowler in PBA History as part of the organization's 50-year anniversary in 2009.
