The 2024 PBA50 Tour is off and running in Westland, Mich.

Last season’s breakout superstar, Troy Lint, will miss the season’s first event.

The reigning PBA50 Player of the Year captured two titles in 2023 and led the PBA50 Tour in points and earnings. The southpaw finished third, first, second, second and 11th in the season’s five major championships.

Staples on the PBA50 Tour include legends Pete Weber, Parker Bohn III, Walter Ray Williams Jr., plus Tom Adcock, Brad Angelo, Jason Couch, Andres Gomez, John Janawicz, Jack Jurek, Mika Koivuniemi and Bob Learn Jr.

Janawicz, who won the PBA50 Rookie of the Year award last season, plans to compete full-time this season. Gomez, who turned 50 during the 2023 PBA50 season, is prepared for his first full season.

Two familiar faces are set to join the fray this season: Robert Smith and Rudy “Revs” Kasimakis.

Tom Hess, the 2021 PBA50 Player and Rookie of the Year, and Steve Jaros will not be in competition this week. They are competing in the PBA Tournament of Champions and will be inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame this Friday.

Chris Barnes, Amleto Monacelli, Eugene McCune and Ryan Shafer, among other PBA50 players, are also competing in Fairlawn, Ohio this week.
